Halflives channel cinematic rebellion on new All Good Things collaboration Rebels

Halflives have released Rebels, a widescreen new single featuring US rock outfit All Good Things. The track arrives weeks after the heavy return of Unshattered and finds Linda Battilani shifting from personal confrontation towards a more outward-looking call to arms.

Built around towering hooks, electronic texture and a sizeable chorus, Rebels leans into dystopian imagery and underdog resolve. Battilani has described the track as a deliberate attempt to capture the scale and urgency of blockbuster fiction, citing The Hunger Games, Divergent and Arcane among its inspirations.

“While my last single, Unshattered, came from a deeply personal place of fighting internal battles, Rebels featuring All Good Things was born from a completely different kind of creative spark,” Battilani says.

“This track was meticulously engineered from the ground up with a singular, laser-focused vision: to capture a massive and unapologetically epic energy. We sat down with the deliberate goal of crafting a blockbuster anthem, designing every beat and progression to deliver maximum sonic impact.”

A battle cry with a bigger canvas

Where Unshattered pushed Halflives into heavier territory, including harsh vocals, Rebels takes a more cinematic route. The collaboration with All Good Things adds extra weight to its arena-sized arrangement, framing the song’s central message around resistance, survival and refusing to fall into line.

“The result is a pure, high-octane battle cry about resilience and standing up for what is right,” Battilani continues. “When writing the lyrics, I envisioned the high-stakes, adrenaline-fuelled worlds of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Arcane. It’s a track about going against the flow and breaking the mould.”

She adds: “Musically, collaborating with All Good Things allowed us to lean entirely into a huge, larger-than-life sound. Where Unshattered gave you heavy riffs and a raw, personal release, Rebels offers a sweeping, universal anthem.”
