“In the very beginning, we said for it to work, it would have to be Denzel Curry. Because he gets it.”

Knocked Loose announce new headline shows

Fresh from headline appearances at Slam Dunk Festival, Knocked Loose have announced two new UK headline shows around their summer run supporting Metallica.

The Kentucky heavyweights will play Electric Bristol on 29 June and Rock City in Nottingham on 30 June, slotting the dates between major stadium appearances in Cardiff and London.

Knocked Loose add more UK heat to their summer plans

The newly announced shows arrive as Knocked Loose continue their ascent from hardcore cult heroes to one of modern heavy music’s most vital forces. Known for turning every room into a pressure cooker of panic chords, breakdowns and cathartic fury, the band will now bring their full headline assault to Bristol and Nottingham.

The dates sit alongside festival appearances and stadium shows across Europe, including several dates supporting Metallica.

Hive Mind brings Denzel Curry into the chaos

Earlier this year, Knocked Loose shared “Hive Mind”, a new single featuring Denzel Curry. It is a collision that makes immediate sense. Curry has long shown his appreciation for heavy music, notably with his explosive 2019 cover of Rage Against The Machine’s “Bulls On Parade”, and here he steps directly into Knocked Loose’s world rather than merely orbiting it.

The track comes with a video directed by Eric Richter and Knocked Loose vocalist Bryan Garris, filmed in the band’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky at the iconic skate spot David Armstrong Extreme Park.

“Hive Mind” marks the band’s first new music since their acclaimed 2024 album You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, which included the Grammy-nominated “Suffocate” featuring Poppy. Produced by Drew Fulk, the album pushed Knocked Loose’s sound into something sharper, denser and more punishing, while also carrying them further into the wider cultural conversation.

A decade of sharpening the blade

Since emerging in 2014 with debut EP Pop Culture, Knocked Loose have spent the last decade refining a sound built on raw emotion, metallic force and unrelenting tension.

Their 2016 debut album, Laugh Tracks, brought them a breakout moment with “Counting Worms”, while 2019’s A Different Shade of Blue pushed further into darker, heavier territory. Today, the band stand as one of hardcore’s defining modern acts.

Knocked Loose are Bryan Garris, Isaac Hale, Nicko Calderon, Kevin Otten and Kevin “Pacsun” Kaine.
