One Step Closer, the melodic hardcore trailblazers from Wilkes-Barre, have just released their latest single, “Orange Leaf,” alongside exciting details of their upcoming album, All You Embrace, which will drop on May 17th via Run For Cover Records.
Following their well-received projects This Place You Know and Songs For The Willow, One Step Closer continues to push the boundaries of their sound with this new release. “Orange Leaf” is not only a continuation but an expansion of their earlier works, integrating elements of hardcore, emo, and ’90s alternative into their sound. The single features robust post-hardcore riffs paired with an irresistibly soaring chorus, showcasing the band’s mastery of both aggression and melody.
The forthcoming album All You Embrace is described as the band’s most anthemic and heartfelt project to date. Ryan Savitski, the band’s vocalist, explains that the goal was to fully represent One Step Closer at its core: “I wanted to showcase One Step Closer in its fullest state… 100% ourselves and as authentic to our band as we could possibly be.” The album promises to be a deep dive into the band’s identity and their most ambitious effort yet.
