TV Priest pair new single Just So You Know with 2027 UK headline dates
TV Priest have shared Just So You Know, the latest preview of their forthcoming third album Cartoons, while confirming a seven-date UK headline tour for early 2027.
The new single follows this year’s The Mud Never Dries and Love Song (A Good Kind of Weapon), and finds the band moving from solemn opening strings into a taut, groove-led indie rock arrangement. Its shifting layers of guitar, electronics and weighty rhythm section frame one of the record’s more immediate vocal hooks.
Vocalist Charlie Drinkwater describes the song as a break-up track with technology as the other party. “I’m scrolling before I’ve even really had a single thought of my own,” he says. “The stress sits in my stomach like bad coffee and the people I love get whatever attention is left over. And there’s a sweetness to it, and that’s the trouble.
“Always connected, always ticking things off a to do list that never gets any shorter. Little sugar hits all day long until the crash. The song pokes at that and it asks the question I keep swerving: is any of this actually any good for me? Is it good for any of us?”

Cartoons opens the band’s sound out
Due on 6 November via AMK and Kartel Music Group, Cartoons was written over two years by Drinkwater and guitarist Alex Sprogis before expanding into a more collaborative recording process. The album draws together guitar-led alternative rock, programmed drums, field recordings, digital samples and a more exposed melodic approach from Drinkwater.
“Cartoons is a record about confusion,” Drinkwater says. “About the small, daily unspooling of the worlds we thought we knew, and the strange new ones being born in their slipstream. About heroes and villains and the increasingly thin and trembling line between them. About surveillance and sanctuary, and where, exactly, a person is allowed to disappear.”
He adds: “There is anger in it, but also tenderness; and grief that has stopped lying to itself. Not resolution. Just company, out in the noisy world.”

From release-week instores to a January run
Before the headline dates, TV Priest will play a Halloween show at London’s Blondie’s as special guests to Crows, followed by a run of release-week in-store performances across England. The 2027 headline tour then takes in Bristol, Birmingham, London, Brighton, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds.
