Swedish metal iconoclasts Avatar have released a brand new single, Death and Glitz, along with a visualizer video — previewing the twisted theatrics of their upcoming album Don’t Go In The Forest, set for release on October 31 via Black Waltz Records.
A biting, cinematic track that lurches between eerie ambiance and bombastic riffing, Death and Glitz dives headfirst into themes of voyeurism, tragedy, and society’s obsession with spectacle. As ever, frontman Johannes Eckerström brings both venom and vision to his lyrical narration:
