Mothica Joins SharpTone and Unleashes New Single Evergreen Misery
A new chapter begins for alt-rock visionary Mothica, who has officially signed to SharpTone Records and shared a gripping new single and video, Evergreen Misery. The release marks a sonic and emotional turning point for the genre-blurring artist, pulling her deeper into the world of dark alt-rock and metal-infused catharsis.

The track arrives as a raw dispatch from the aftermath of a personal reckoning. “I was a few months out of rehab and I needed to release this simmering anger and deep melancholy that I was numbing for so long,” Mothica reveals. “I took a step back to focus on my recovery, and finally felt ready to reconnect with the pure feeling of writing music again.”
A Gritty Return, a Darker Sound
Evergreen Misery signals a heavier sonic direction for Mothica—an evolution her fans have dubbed the “Rockica” era. Channeling the intensity of metalcore and industrial rock influences like Nine Inch Nails, Sleep Token, and Bring Me The Horizon, Mothica collaborates with producer Elliot Polokoff to carve out a cinematic, emotionally charged rock identity.
“I knew I wanted to step into a heavier era,” she says. “This idea of ‘take what you want from me, my misery is bottomless’—which is a bit dramatic, but that’s how it felt.”
The accompanying video visualizes this darkness, amplifying the thematic weight of the song with arresting imagery.
