The Pretty Reckless Unleash Haunting New Single “Dear God”
The Pretty Reckless have returned with “Dear God,” the title track from their upcoming fifth studio album, due June 26 via Fearless Records. The new single finds the platinum-selling rock band pushing deeper into shadowy, emotionally charged territory, with Taylor Momsen’s voice once again cutting straight through the noise.
Built around a sense of desperation and release, “Dear God” moves from bruised vulnerability into full-throttle catharsis. Momsen’s vocals carry the weight of the song’s central plea, while the band gradually ratchet up the tension before letting the guitars burn wide open.
A Rawer Chapter for the Band
“Dear God” follows the recent single “Love Me,” as well as “When I Wake Up” and the album’s lead track “For I Am Death,” which became The Pretty Reckless’ eighth Mainstream Rock Radio No. 1.
The upcoming album DEAR GOD is described as one of the band’s most unfiltered releases to date, leaning into themes of vulnerability, escape and emotional survival. Across the record, The Pretty Reckless appear to be trading polish for something more scorched and intimate.
