The Pretty Reckless are pressing deeper into the shadows of their next era with “Love Me,” the latest single from their forthcoming fifth album Dear God, due out June 26 via Fearless Records. It is the third song to emerge from the record, and it lands with the kind of bruised intensity the band have made their own: big guitars, a scorched emotional core, and Taylor Momsen’s voice cutting straight through the middle of it.
Produced by Momsen, Ben Phillips and Jonathan Wyman, “Love Me” leans into the band’s heavier instincts while keeping one foot planted in the raw, confessional writing that appears to define Dear God (pre-order HERE). Where earlier preview “When I Wake Up” opened the door, this new track kicks it wider, sounding sharper, darker and more unguarded.
A darker turn into Dear God
If the early signs are anything to go by, Dear God is shaping up to be one of The Pretty Reckless’ most exposed records yet. The album reportedly dives into vulnerability, intensity and creative freedom, with a diaristic edge running through its 14-song tracklist.
Love Me – The Pretty Reckless
That sense of emotional exposure sits right at the centre of “Love Me,” which Momsen describes in blunt, unsparing terms.
Speaking about the single, she said the song came from a place of emptiness and desperation, driven less by hope than by the need to be seen. It is that refusal to dress the feeling up that gives the track its weight.
Taylor Momsen on the new single
Momsen said: “Love Me” came from a place she did not want to admit she was in, capturing a moment where someone feels so hollowed out they are bargaining not for happiness, but for some sign that they matter. In her telling, the song’s power lies in its ugliness, its lack of polish, and its honesty.
That directness has long been one of The Pretty Reckless’ strengths. Even at their most theatrical, there is usually something deeply human buried under the volume. “Love Me” sounds set to continue that tradition.

A major year for the band
The release arrives as the band gear up for a sizeable 2026 headline run under the Dear God banner. The tour begins in North America in July before heading to Europe and the UK in November and December.
It also follows a busy stretch for the group, including a performance at the 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year gala, where Momsen honoured Mariah Carey, and an appearance at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, where she performed with Soundgarden for their induction. Add in the release of the holiday EP Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas, and the band are entering this new album cycle with serious momentum.
