The Pretty Reckless share new About You version featuring Dave Grohl and Pat Smear
The Pretty Reckless have released a bonus version of About You, featuring Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Pat Smear.
The refreshed take on the track, originally appearing on the band’s fifth album DEAR GOD, brings Grohl in on drums, guitar and backing vocals, while Smear adds guitar. It gives the song a fuller, more combustible edge, built around Taylor Momsen’s vocal as the guest musicians push the arrangement into looser, live-room territory.
Momsen said: “About You is one of my favourite songs on the record, so I wanted to do something special. I called Dave and Pat and asked them if they’d lend their magic to it. It was an amazing time in the studio making music; there’s nothing better than jamming with friends. I couldn’t be happier with the result.”
