SNAYX pit two versions of Brain Cellz against each other in interactive video release
SNAYX have shared a new single, Brain Cellz, alongside an unusual music video setup that asks fans to pick a winner. The Brighton alt-punk trio’s latest release arrives via Nettwerk Music Group and finds the band folding their familiar mix of sharp-edged social commentary and punishing riffs into a song about the way people turn on each other while trying to be right.

The track is paired with two competing videos, each telling the same tug-of-war story from opposite perspectives. Rather than issuing one definitive cut, SNAYX have released both versions at once and handed the decision over to viewers, with the final outcome set to be decided by which video racks up the most views and engagement over a 72-hour period.
A split-screen argument in motion
Speaking about the song, the band said:
“Often, as humans, we needlessly argue amongst ourselves for little gain and throw each other under the bus for moral convenience. It often feels like a constant struggle that ultimately gains little more than the token satisfaction of being right one time. In reality, we all make mistakes, and growth takes patience, guidance and understanding.”
They added that the video concept was built around a tug of war, with each cut showing a different side of the same conflict. “The lens is skewed to show how we often let personal biases steer a will towards a preferred outcome. ‘In a war for the sun or the moon, whose side are you on? Whose fight will you choose?’”
The two videos are live now, with the band inviting fans to side with either version and help determine which one becomes the official clip. You can watch the red team video here and the blue team video here. The track also has its own page at snayx.com/brain-cellz.
