Blue Medusa stalk the shadows on new single Crocodile

“Crocodile. is about that feeling that you’re being watched… that instinctive dread when you know something dangerous is nearby, even though you can’t see it.”

Blue Medusa unveil unsettling new single and full-band video for Crocodile.

Blue Medusa, the project led by Alissa White-Gluz, have released their new single Crocodile., a tense and ominous track centred on the instinctive fear of an unseen threat.

Arriving with a co-directed video from White-Gluz and Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films, Crocodile. follows earlier singles Checkmate and Flying Monkey. The clip marks Blue Medusa’s first full-band performance on screen, shifting the project’s visual world into darker, more physical territory.

White-Gluz said: “Crocodile. is about that feeling that you’re being watched… that instinctive dread when you know something dangerous is nearby, even though you can’t see it. It’s the feeling that something is lurking just beneath the surface of what appears to be safe or familiar. That tension between what you perceive and what you sense; that is where the song lives.”

A custom guitar with a cause

The video also sees White-Gluz playing a one-off custom guitar created by Nik Huber Guitars as part of a collaboration between Sea Shepherd, Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and Blue Medusa. Signed by White-Gluz and Doyle, the instrument features Von Frankenstein Monster Gear pick-ups and strings, and is set to be auctioned in aid of Sea Shepherd’s marine-life conservation work.

Beatriz Mariano of Okkultist also appears in the video, contributing additional vocals and suitably unnerving visual work to the track’s shadowy atmosphere.
