Look What Happened line up new EP Weak Minds For The Weekend and Make It Real single
Brighton pop-punk outfit Look What Happened will release their new EP, Weak Minds For The Weekend, on Friday 30 October. The five-track record will be preceded by lead single Make It Real, which arrives with a video on Friday 23 October.
Make It Real finds the band digging into derealisation, self-sabotage and the difficulty of confronting uncomfortable truths. Built around a fast, melodic pop-punk charge, the track addresses the pull of old habits and the frustration of feeling stuck in cycles that are difficult to break.
Five days in July
The EP was recorded with Ian Sadler over five days in July, with the band aiming to capture the punch and immediacy of the records that shaped them.
Drummer Jack Lowe said: “We recorded Weak Minds For The Weekend with Ian Sadler over five days in July. Our aim was to create an homage to the pop punk bands we grew up on. I’d like to think we succeeded!”
Across the release, Look What Happened pair energetic hooks with lyrics centred on frustration, self-doubt and the ongoing work of making sense of your own head. It follows the band’s self-titled debut EP and May’s Burn In Hell.
