KNIVES set second album Nothing New Under The Sun for March 2027 with Vermillion
KNIVES have announced their second album, Nothing New Under The Sun, due for release on 5 March 2027 via Marshall Records. The Bristol six-piece have also shared the record’s opening statement, new single Vermillion.

Arriving ahead of the band’s October UK tour with Cancer Bats, Vermillion turns its attention towards consequence, personal responsibility and the difficult question of whether the lives we lead reflect the values we claim to hold.
The band said: “Vermillion is centred around the idea of consequence. It’s about trying to live in a way that reflects your values, knowing that every decision you make affects not only yourself but the people around you. The song asks whether the things we leave behind are something we can truly be proud of.”

A record shaped by the road
Nothing New Under The Sun follows 2025’s Glitter and arrives after two years of heavy touring for the group, including runs alongside The Callous Daoboys, Bob Vylan, The Armed and Maruja.
The new album is set to explore climate anxiety, grief, consumerism, media influence and the consequences of collective as well as individual choices. Its 11-track running order includes Every Shade In Your Hue, Mea Culpa, Lip Glossip and We’re Getting Further From The Truth.
