Knives Rework the Chaos on REGLITTER II
Bristolian noise collective Knives have released REGLITTER II via Marshall Records, a new reimagining of tracks from their critically acclaimed debut album GLITTER.
The EP follows REGLITTER I, which arrived in November 2025 and featured previously unreleased collaborations with Carson Pace of The Callous Daoboys and C.A. Francis of DITZ. This latest instalment opens the band’s jagged, genre-defying world to fresh interpretation, with contributions from Sunnbrella, CLT DRP, M/X and How Long You Been Driving.
A Fresh Glaze on GLITTER
Knives have always thrived in collision. Their music pulls hardcore, post-punk and nu-metal into a volatile, sax-laced storm, where structure and chaos are constantly wrestling for control.
On REGLITTER II, that energy is refracted through the lens of artists the band admire and have crossed paths with through the UK underground. Rather than softening the source material, the reworkings stretch it into new shapes, sharpening the mood and pulling different colours from the noise.
Songs of Escape, Corruption and Anger
The EP’s opening track, “i see them fall,” is reimagined by Sunnbrella, with vocalist Jay Schottlander describing the song as a reflection on the stagnancy of everyday life and the need for escape. Its shoegaze-tinted reinterpretation brings electronic textures into the frame, giving the track a dreamier but still uneasy charge.
“you think you know” sees CLT DRP take on a song about manipulation, while M/X rework “chroma,” a track fuelled by anger at corruption, corporations and the elite’s indifference to the damage around them.
Closing track “rhinestone cowboy” takes aim at landlord greed and the UK housing crisis. Written from the frustration of living in unsafe student housing, the song channels that anger into something raw, communal and deeply familiar.

Knives Keep Building Momentum
The release follows a busy period for Knives, who have recently played shows with The Callous Daoboys, Bob Vylan and Witch Fever. Their debut album GLITTER, released in May 2025, earned praise from Rock Sound, Alternative Press and Kerrang!, establishing the band as one of the most exciting forces in the UK’s heavy underground.
Even with a stacked live calendar ahead, Knives are already looking forward, with a second album on the horizon for early 2027.
