Left To Suffer channel spiralling self-doubt into new single Unrequited Dread
Left To Suffer have released Unrequited Dread, a punishing new single taken from their forthcoming album Unwelcome Guest.
The Atlanta heavy outfit’s latest track arrives ahead of the record’s release on 9 October via Hopeless Records. Built around a sense of mounting psychological pressure, Unrequited Dread continues the uncompromising run of material previewing the band’s next full-length release.
Vocalist Taylor Barber said the song deals with the destructive loops created by anxiety and self-doubt.
“Unrequited Dread is the war I have with my inner monologue, the pit in your stomach, the creeping feeling that everyone hates you and is slowly but surely pulling you into the deepest crevice of your insecurities that you can possibly imagine,” Barber said. “I needed to release these thoughts into this song to help my brain not cave into itself.”
A heavy new chapter takes shape
Unwelcome Guest follows a series of recent singles from Left To Suffer, including Gun In The Duffel Bag, STFU and the title track. The 11-song album also includes WRONG NUMBER, featuring Alan Grnja of Distant.
The band are currently on tour with Dying Fetus as the album campaign gathers pace. Stream Unrequited Dread here.
