Luna Kills channel destructive egos on new single supervillain ahead of UK dates
Luna Kills have released their new single supervillain, a jagged modern metal track built around the image of a dying sun and the collateral damage left by people consumed by their own power.
Out now via SharpTone Records, the Finnish four-piece’s latest release follows LOWER, which arrived earlier in 2026, and continues the run of material following their 2025 debut album DEATHMATCH.
On supervillain, the band turn a cosmic-scale catastrophe into a more personal warning. Vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen said: “The lyrics depict our sun going supernova, and it serves as a metaphor of a certain type of people that suck the air out of the spaces they inhabit.
“As their influence and power rises along their ego it will lead up to their inevitable fall which might have terrible consequences for others around them.”
The track arrives after a summer of major European festival appearances for Luna Kills, including sets at Wacken Open Air, Alcatraz, Summer Breeze, Provinssi, Radar and Reload. The band will now head out on an extensive European run supporting Future Palace, with four UK dates scheduled for November.
UK shows with Future Palace
Luna Kills will play London, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds as part of the support run, before returning to the UK in August 2027 for Bloodstock Open Air.
