Millie Manders And The Shutup Return To Grassroots Venues This Autumn

“Coming back to grassroots venues with a smaller capacity than we have been playing recently is going to be so wonderfully intense and intimate. We will be bringing our melting pot of party and rage as we Age Disgracefully in a time that is so unforgiving in so many ways.”

Millie Manders And The Shutup Announce Supports For Their Age Disgracefully Tour

Millie Manders And The Shutup have confirmed the support acts for the UK leg of their Age Disgracefully headline tour, which rolls through a run of intimate grassroots venues this autumn.

Following a period of bigger stages, festival main slots and growing national attention, the band will return to smaller rooms for a tour that promises sweat, closeness and the kind of cathartic release their live shows have become known for.

Support across the UK dates will come from The Empty Page, Bugeye, TOAST and Tokyo Taboo, each joining the tour for a different run of shows.

Back To The Grassroots

Speaking about the upcoming dates, Millie Manders said the band are relishing the chance to reconnect with audiences in more compact spaces.

“Coming back to grassroots venues with a smaller capacity than we have been playing recently is going to be so wonderfully intense and intimate,” she said. “We will be bringing our melting pot of party and rage as we Age Disgracefully in a time that is so unforgiving in so many ways.”

That mix of celebration and fury has long sat at the heart of Millie Manders And The Shutup’s sound. Blending punk, ska, rock and pop hooks, the band have built a reputation for high-voltage performances powered by grinding guitars, sharp horn lines and Manders’ elastic, commanding vocal presence.

Festival Season And Solo Shows

Before the autumn tour, the band will continue a busy summer of UK festival appearances, including sets at Nah Then in Nottingham, Outcider in Dorset, Green Gathering in Chepstow, Rebellion in Blackpool, Rock N Roll Circus in Norfolk and The Great Vegan Gathering in Chingford.

Millie will also continue with a run of solo shows, sharing stages with major names from the worlds of ska and rock.

“For the first time in a while we have a great mix of both acoustic and full band shows this summer,” she said, “and will be sharing stages with some of the biggest G.O.A.T. names in ska and rock, both solo and with my incredible band.”

Punk Fire With Purpose

Millie Manders And The Shutup’s rise has been difficult to ignore. Main stage appearances at Slam Dunk, Rebellion and Beautiful Days, alongside support from BBC Introducing, Radio X and national press, have helped push the band further into the public consciousness.

Their songs tackle loss, betrayal, anxiety, heartbreak, environmental catastrophe and political unrest, but the delivery is anything but dour. This is music built to move bodies as much as minds: furious, melodic, socially aware and fiercely alive.

The band’s commitment extends beyond the stage too. With a policy of avoiding plastic wrapping on merchandise and using limited edition artwork and clothing to raise money for charities, Millie Manders And The Shutup continue to use their platform with intent.

The band are currently working on their eagerly anticipated third album.
