Mayday Parade Embrace Reflection with New Single One Day at a Time

Second Single from Sad Marks Another Step in Their Anniversary Trilogy

As part of their ongoing 20th anniversary celebrations, Mayday Parade return with “One Day at a Time,” the emotionally rich second single from their upcoming album Sad, out 3rd October 2025.

Following on from the charged emo revival of “Under My Sweater,” this new track leans deeper into introspection. “It’s a song about growing through life and getting better as you go,” says guitarist Brooks Betts. “Correcting the past mistakes and understanding that life changes and evolves.”

SAD is out 3rd October 2025 and available on all platforms – pre-order/pre-save Sad HERE

Produced once again by longtime collaborators Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, the track is drenched in the warm, reflective glow of nostalgia. With shimmering guitar textures and soaring vocal harmonies, “One Day at a Time” stands as a testament to the band’s growth while staying rooted in the emotional honesty that has defined their sound since the beginning.

The full album, Sad, is the second part of a three-album trilogy celebrating two decades of Mayday Parade. So far, the project shows the band refining their signature sound, embracing maturity without losing the raw heart that made them icons of the mid-2000s alternative scene.

Mayday Parade – Sad

With over 1.43 billion streams and a loyal global fanbase, Mayday Parade’s legacy continues to evolve — and this track proves they’re not slowing down. The band will hit the road this fall with All Time Low, and fans can also catch them at this year’s When We Were Young festival.
