Home Front Announce New Album Watch It Die with Single Light Sleeper

Album Out 14 November via La Vida Es Un Mus Discos

Edmonton’s Home Front have confirmed details of their new album Watch It Die, set for release on 14th November 2025 through La Vida Es Un Mus Discos. The announcement arrives alongside the record’s lead single and video, Light Sleeper, a surging blast of post-punk and new wave urgency.

The track’s video highlights the band’s extended live lineup — Brandi Strauss (bass), Ian Rowley (guitar), and Warren Oostlander (drums) — adding a visceral edge to the duo’s widescreen soundscapes. Built for both the dance floor and the barricade, Light Sleeper perfectly sets the tone for a record rooted in passion, resilience, and a demand for reflection.

A Record of Grief, Resilience and Community

Across its 12 tracks, Watch It Die blends punk aggression with textured electronics, creating what the band describe as “a roadmap of hope.” Vocalist Graeme MacKinnon and multi-instrumentalist Clint Frazier channel themes of heartbreak, loss, and political turmoil into cathartic and deeply human songs.

“For all of us in Home Front, Watch It Die comes at a very transformative time,” the band state. “With friends and close family members dying, to massive uncertainty around the world, this album encapsulates what it’s like for us to step into a new world… We suffer for their dreams, but we must recognise the importance of our own community and look to energise them to build a better way of life.”

While the record is heavy with grief, it ultimately points toward growth, unity, and survival — a “rebirth into a new world” as the band call it.
