Def Leppard Cement Their Legacy With Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
British rock legends Def Leppard were honoured with the 2,825th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 9, in a celebration of their lasting impact on the world of music. The ceremony, held at 1750 N. Vine Street, saw band members Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Vivian Campbell, and Rick Allen celebrated for their contributions to the Recording category.
Hosted by Bob Buchmann, the event featured appearances by Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Resnikoff, as fans and media gathered to witness a milestone moment for one of rock’s most enduring bands.
A Monumental Career
With over 110 million albums sold worldwide, two Diamond Awards, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Def Leppard’s legacy is etched in stone—now literally. Their breakthrough albums Pyromania and Hysteria are among the most celebrated in rock history, packed with hits like “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, “Rock of Ages”, and “Foolin’.”

Their live shows remain a spectacle, with the band frequently hailed as one of the greatest live acts in the world. Recent tours with Mötley Crüe and Journey have drawn millions, while their latest single with Tom Morello, “Just Like 73”, has topped classic rock charts.
Still Breaking New Ground
In recent years, Def Leppard has shown no signs of slowing down. Diamond Star Halos (2022) debuted in the Billboard Top 10, while Drastic Symphonies (2023), a collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, marked their highest UK chart entry in more than three decades.

The band also made waves in cinema with cameos in the hit Netflix film Bank of Dave and its sequel, solidifying their cultural relevance across mediums.
Giving Back
Beyond the stage and studio, Def Leppard support several charities, including Make-A-Wish, MusiCares, Shriners Children’s Hospital, and the Teenage Cancer Trust—further cementing their place not only in music history but in the hearts of fans worldwide.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony is a recognition of the band’s incredible career, global influence, and undying spirit. A star on the boulevard is now forever part of their story.
