Violet Grohl upgrades Manchester as Brighton date joins sold-out UK run
Violet Grohl has added another UK date to her debut run, with a new Brighton show at Chalk on 8 October and a venue upgrade in Manchester for her 25 August date. The Manchester gig has moved from The Deaf Institute to Band on the Wall, with all original tickets still valid.
Tickets are on sale now
The extra Brighton date lands as the current UK run continues to fill up, with London, Liverpool and Bristol already sold out. For Grohl, it extends the stretch of live dates around her debut album Be Sweet To Me, which arrived in May via Auroura Records / Republic Records.

Alt-rock colours carried from the album to the stage
Recorded at producer Justin Raisen’s Los Angeles home studio, Be Sweet To Me draws on a broad palette of late ’80s and early ’90s alternative rock. Grohl has pointed to the sounds of Pixies, Soundgarden, Cocteau Twins, The Breeders, PJ Harvey, The Muffs, Björk, Alice in Chains, L7 and Juliana Hatfield across the album’s singles THUM, 595, Cool Buzz and Bug in the Cake.
“I’ve listened to that stuff since I was a kid,” Grohl says.
