Motionless In White celebrate two decades with new album Decades
Motionless In White have released their new album Decades, marking 20 years of the Scranton heavyweights with a record that draws together the theatrical, melodic and full-force elements of their sound.
Out now via Roadrunner Records, Decades arrives alongside a lyric video for focus track Fight Like Hell. The album includes guest appearances from Skylar Grey, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Dark Divine vocalist Anthony Martinez.
Speaking about the release, Chris Motionless said: “I can’t believe it’s finally the day to release Decades into the world. No other record means as much to me personally as this one does. The past two-and-a-half years of working on it have been some of the best and most challenging years of my career creatively, but integral to the story of what makes MIW the band that it is.
“20 years of nothing but raw determination is what you will find on this record and I’m so grateful for every day we get to keep living our dreams.”
The record was made in Upstate New York and Los Angeles with co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin “JD” deBlieck. Its 13-song track listing moves from the title track and log_in//crash_out to collaborations including R.I.P. featuring Skylar Grey, Playing God featuring Taylor and Blood Rave with Martinez.
“We were never afraid to take risks,” Motionless added. “This band has not only lasted two decades, but we’ve also outlasted all of the obstacles we’ve faced. We’re still grinding. No matter how far we expand the universe that is Motionless In White, we’re going to preserve the heart, soul, and roots of where we came from.
“We are never going to abandon heartfelt, emotional, and heavy songs. We are never going to abandon what mattered to us the most when we started. We’re finding new ways to emphasise those stories with exciting sounds and looks, but the vision is the same. It’s always been this grand, dramatic, and theatrical entity. I’m proud we haven’t gotten comfortable.”
He continued: “Decades is definitely heavier than some of our past albums. Our current world bred more aggressive energy, anger, and resistance.”

The Sweat and Blood Tour crosses North America
Motionless In White are currently on the road for their first North American headline run in nearly three years. The summer leg of The Sweat and Blood Tour features Lorna Shore, Fit For A King and Static Dress, including the band’s first headline performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
A second run begins in Worcester on 30 October, with Dayseeker joining as direct support alongside The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Divine. Tickets are on sale now.
