Manchester Punk Festival reveals first 2027 line-up led by AJJ, King Prawn and The Skinner Brothers
Manchester Punk Festival has announced the first names for its 2027 edition, with AJJ, King Prawn and The Skinner Brothers leading an expansive opening wave for the independent city-centre event.
The festival, spread across Manchester’s independent venues, will bring together folk punk, ska-punk, hardcore, indie and underground left-field sounds across Easter weekend. AJJ’s appearance gives the bill a major cult-punk draw, while King Prawn return for what organisers describe as their third MPF appearance.

Rare appearances and international additions
Elsewhere, the first announcement includes rare scheduled appearances from The Ergs!, The Spook School and NoComply, alongside familiar festival favourites Onsind and Bruise Control.
Moroccan punk outfit Taqbir are also set to play, in what is currently billed as one of only two planned UK shows from the group in 2027. The announcement also features Red City Radio’s Garret Dale, plus a broad cast of UK punk, hardcore and alternative acts.
Manchester Punk Festival won Best Small Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2024. More artists are expected to be announced for the 2027 programme.
