Peter Hook & The Light lead Interzone Festival 2027 line-up in Edinburgh
Peter Hook & The Light will headline Interzone Festival 2027, with JS Promotions bringing its annual one-day event back to Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Saturday 29 May.
The bill gathers four acts with deep roots in post-punk and indie rock, as Hook and his band top a line-up completed by The Wedding Present, Chameleons and The Armoury Show.
A post-punk-heavy bill at Edinburgh Corn Exchange
The Armoury Show will open the festival. Fronted by Richard Jobson of The Skids, the group’s angular, art-minded post-punk provides an appropriate starting point for a bill shaped by restless guitars, widescreen atmosphere and sharp-edged songwriting.
Chameleons follow, bringing their expansive guitar work and emotionally charged sound to the Edinburgh date. Their set will lead into The Wedding Present, whose fast-moving jangle, abrasive riffs and David Gedge’s distinct lyrical voice have remained central to their live shows.
Peter Hook & The Light will close the night, with Hook revisiting material from the Joy Division and New Order catalogues alongside his band. The bassist has made the project a formidable live proposition, bringing the low-end pulse and stark drama of both groups’ songs back to the stage.
“Hooky and the band will headline with a set that will celebrate some of the most influential music ever created,” the festival announcement states.
