Taking Back Sunday revisit Louder Now with expanded 20th anniversary edition

Taking Back Sunday have released a deluxe 20th anniversary edition of Louder Now, revisiting the 2006 album with two B-sides and a run of newly announced UK arena dates alongside Weezer in 2027.

Out now through Craft Recordings, the expanded edition pairs the original 11-track album with Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something) and Sleep. Both bonus tracks appear on an accompanying 7-inch with the vinyl edition and are included on the deluxe CD release.

The reissue arrives as the band continue to perform the album in full at selected anniversary shows, including a recent headline appearance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. The current live line-up also sees Fred Mascherino back onstage with Adam Lazzara, John Nolan and Shaun Cooper, bringing the guitarist and vocalist who played on the original record back into the fold.

An album built for bigger rooms

Louder Now captured Taking Back Sunday at a pivotal point, sharpening the tension and melodic bite of their earlier records into a larger, harder-hitting sound. Its singles MakeDamnSure, What’s It Feel Like To Be A Ghost? and Liar (It Takes One To Know One) remain fixtures in the band’s set.

Lazzara said: “Our record Louder Now represents a huge milestone for me and to know it has made an impact on so many other people’s lives as well is something I still struggle to get my head around. To have the opportunity to celebrate that record with both John Nolan and Fred Mascherino on stage together, along with Shaun Cooper, is incredible to me.

“The songs sound stronger than I can ever remember live and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to share that with everyone.”
