Bobbie Dazzle takes Star Power on the road
UK glam rock’s catsuit-clad queen Bobbie Dazzle is heading out for a short, sharp three-date run this October. The tour opens at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on Sunday 18th, then moves on to Wolverhampton’s KK’s Steel Mill and London’s Bush Hall. Rising act SANTÙ supports on every night, and Mango In Euphoria join the bill in Shepherd’s Bush.
The brainchild of singer, songwriter, flautist and producer Siân Greenaway, Bobbie Dazzle arrived out of nowhere in late 2024 with debut album Fandabidozi. It’s been a whirlwind since. She toured with Alice Cooper, Sweet and Lita Ford, played Hyde Park with Jeff Lynne’s ELO, and did it all without management, a booking agent or a tour manager.

A record with smiling teeth
Second album Star Power, out via Rise Above Records, picks up exactly where Fandabidozi left off. The title-track opener continues straight on from the debut’s closer, ‘Flowers On Mars’. The songs were again largely written with keyboard player Chris Dando, whose stacked harmonies help define the Bobbie sound. Live band members Ash Baker (guitar) and Leon Smith (bass) helped bring it to life.
There are some surprises too. ‘Snakes And Ladders’ was co-written with Pendulum’s Gareth McGrillen, who found Bobbie on a Spotify playlist and sent her a song out of the blue. She calls the result “Pendulum meets 1974”. Lita Ford returns the dressing-room friendship with a solo on closer ‘Feel It Too’, and her guitar rings out as the album’s final note.
Bobbie says the record starts familiar but gets grittier in its second half, with more teeth, “but those teeth are smiling.” Fans heading to these shows can expect flute flourishes from her prog side (Rush and Traffic are big influences) and a ‘Jack Rabbit’ intro that nods to Queen’s ‘Seven Seas Of Rhye’.

The disabled rock star
The road here hasn’t been smooth. Endometriosis forced Bobbie to cancel late dates on the Fandabidozi campaign and left her temporarily in a wheelchair. Rather than retreat, she has become an advocate. She wants to be “the disabled rock star”, showing women that hard times can be pushed through with the right help.
That spirit runs through everything she does. Where many artists work through tough times with darker songs, Bobbie goes the opposite way. Her music is escapism, and for her it’s medicine: a world where audiences can let go and dance. With the state of the world right now, three nights of glitter-soaked glam sound like just what the doctor ordered.
