Stand Atlantic mark GODBREATH release day with the heavier pulse of SO COOL
Stand Atlantic have released their fifth album, GODBREATH, via Virgin Music, arriving alongside new single SO COOL.
The 11-track record follows a run of singles including LUCID, NEXT2U, Velcro and EDGE OF VEGAS. Recorded with the band playing together live, GODBREATH finds Stand Atlantic leaning into the collision of pop hooks, alternative rock weight and the sharper edges that have increasingly shaped their recent material.

SO COOL lands on the album with a heavier guitar-driven charge, built around a deliberately shameless sense of swagger. Vocalist Bonnie Fraser wrote the track with Stevie Knight in Sydney during a period when ideas were proving hard to come by.
Fraser says: “I wrote So Cool with Stevie Knight in Sydney, on an unusually dreary summer day, when we were in the depths of a creative rut. The instrumental version came first and we just knew the vibe was cool, so I wanted to hone in on that and play on the idea of ‘coolness’.
“In doing that, I thought about those ridiculous moments when you just feel shamelessly cool – it’s a fun song to play in your car with the windows rolled down. To make you feel like you’re in the VIP section of life.”
The album also includes the pop-rock rush of Favourite Flavour, the more rootsy finger, and closer Gimme A Show, which shifts into a more vulnerable, ballad-led finale. Watch the video for SO COOL here.
