‘YOU’LL SEE’ is the first in a string of releases set for 2021
DIY Essex duo, THE MEFFS, are Lily on vocals/guitar and Lewis on drums/backing vocals. They are noisy and have a lot to say.
THE MEFFS continue to excite audiences across the UK with their socio-political lyrics, three chords and breakneck drums. 2021 sees THE MEFFS sharing the stage with the likes of punk legends, 999 and Department S, alongside being booked for several festivals.
After one day of recording, 2020 saw the release of THE MEFFS’ debut self-titled album, which received exposure on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Radio X. January 2021 saw the release of single ‘YOU’LL SEE’, which continues to receive international airplay and spots on Spotify playlists.
‘YOU’LL SEE’ is the first in a string of releases set for 2021. It takes a jab at societal views with lyrics such as, “they call me daft, they call me dippy, I don’t care ‘cause I’m no hippy” and “they say that I’m the worst skinhead ever”, after being called a naff skinhead by a skinhead.
“Glorious punk in the great tradition of British political/punk acts. And if there was ever a time when society needed the kids to make some noise, it is now.” – Fresh on the Net.
