The Molotovs Unleash Debut Single ‘More More More’ on Marshall Records
Following a riotous performance alongside the Sex Pistols at Royal Albert Hall, London’s incendiary newcomers The Molotovs have dropped their long-awaited debut single, More More More, out now via Marshall Records. A punchy new-wave punk anthem, the track is available digitally and on limited edition 7-inch vinyl, backed with a live rendition of David Bowie’s Suffragette City and a digital-only version of More More More performed live.
Produced by Jason Perry (Don Broco, Trash Boat) at The Marshall Studio and mixed/mastered by Blair Crichton of Dead Pony, the single captures the headrush of reckless living and late-night escapism. It’s sharp, stylish, and full of attitude—calling to mind the energy of Green Day and the bite of The Jam.

“It’s about existing in a transient relationship you feel indifferent about,” explains guitarist Mathew Cartlidge, diving into the song’s disaffected themes. “Filling up time with drinking and partying to distract you from the mundane boredom of life… and deep down knowing you want more.”
New Blood, Classic Spirit
Formed by siblings Mathew and Issey Cartlidge, The Molotovs have been tearing through the UK’s underground live scene, racking up over 500 shows while still in their teens. Their fierce stage presence has earned them nods from Green Day, slots alongside The Libertines, and now, a deal with Marshall Records.
“When Marshall came knocking, it was a no-brainer,” says Mathew. “They’re embedded in rock’n’roll history.” Issey adds, “We are excited to become the new generation of Marshall music.”
Their sound blends the urgency of late-’70s punk with the slick edges of mod revival, landing them on must-see lists for both press and festival lineups. In 2024 alone, they’ve hit stages at SXSW, the Isle of Wight Festival, and soon, 2000trees, with more in the works for 2025.
