Massive Wagons Partner with Andy’s Man Club for UK Headline Tour
Lancastrian rockers Massive Wagons have always brought energy and heart to their music, but their latest single, Night Skies, shows a more serious side. Tackling mental health awareness with their signature flair, the track resonated deeply, sparking conversation under the #ItsOkayToTalk hashtag and hitting the top of Planet Rock’s most-played list.
A Mission of Mental Health Support
Taken from their upcoming album Earth to Grace (out November 8 via Earache Records), Night Skies inspired countless fans to share their stories. Now, the band is taking things further by partnering with Andy’s Man Club, a charity focused on men’s suicide prevention, for their November headline tour across the UK. The charity, which offers peer-to-peer support groups for men aged 18 and over, will have a presence at every UK show.
Andy’s Man Club will host stalls in the venue foyers, where gig-goers can learn more about the charity and its work. Their facilitators will be on hand to chat, hand out wristbands, and encourage men to attend local support meetings. The shows will also feature talks between band sets and an interactive installation based on the club’s signature “five questions.”
Band Members Speak Out
Guitarist Adam Thistlethwaite shared his thoughts on the partnership:
“We couldn’t be more onboard with what Andy’s Man Club stand for. It’s great to spread their message along with our music. Breaking down those barriers for men to come forward and talk is so important.”
Frontman Baz Mills added:
“I never expected the overwhelming reaction we got for Night Skies. Knowing the song has helped people open up about mental health is incredible, and teaming up with Andy’s Man Club is another step in that direction.”
The charity’s North West Area Lead, Luke, praised the collaboration, saying, “Massive Wagons have been fantastic in helping us raise awareness. We can’t wait to meet fans on the road!”
