Thee Headshrinkers have announced the release of their much-anticipated debut album, Head Cheese, landing on November 29th via Property of the Lost Records. Packed with blistering garage rock energy, Head Cheese promises to deliver twelve tracks of no-holds-barred, bass-driven chaos. And as of today, the band has dropped their electrifying new single, “Sunday Driver,” alongside a thrilling music video.

Thee Headshrinkers

From Garage Beginnings to Garage Glory

It all started when Rob (stocking) and Gino (balaclava) connected on joinmyband.com and began rehearsing in a friend’s garage, squeezing in sessions between rusty bikes and an old MG. They set out to channel the raw intensity of The Jesus & Mary Chain, but what emerged was something far grittier. The duo soon linked up with drummer Stiv (dolls head), forming the final piece of their masked misfit puzzle.

The trio’s musical journey reads like the quintessential band story: police raids on rehearsal spaces, ill-fated gigs, and even stints in punk bands across Europe. Drawing influences from The Eighties Match Box B-Line Disaster, The Fall, and the Sex Pistols, Thee Headshrinkers craft songs that thrive on repetition, bass-driven rhythms, and the ferocity of garage rock. The result? A sound that spits with punk energy, while occasionally nodding to the pop undertones of their early inspirations.

Head Cheese—A Debut Album Born in the Fast Lane

Recorded in just three days at Rochester’s Ranscombe Studios with Jim Riley at the helm (known for his work on the Medway sound), Head Cheese is everything a debut album should be: raw, immediate, and packed with attitude. Featuring tracks like “Motorbike,” “The King Is Dead,” and “Mutha Fucka With A Chainsaw,” the album barrels through its twelve-song setlist, rarely breaking the three-minute mark, all while maintaining an adrenaline-fueled pace.

The lead single, “Sunday Driver,” is a relentless ride. Described as a track about “a man who only feels alive behind the wheel of his killing machine,” it roars with frantic intensity, evoking the spirit of Death Race 2000 with a Mark E. Smith edge. The fuzz-drenched guitar riffs, combined with Stiv’s pounding rhythms, create a relentless sonic assault that perfectly introduces listeners to the wild ride that is Head Cheese.
