As December Falls Unleash “For The Plot” Ahead of Fiery New Album
Fresh off their first-ever Australian headline tour and gearing up to support RØRY across the UK, As December Falls are keeping the momentum going with their brand-new single, “For The Plot.” The track serves as the latest glimpse into their highly anticipated fourth album, Everything’s On Fire But I’m Fine, set for release on August 8, 2025 via their own label ADF Records / Virgin Records.

A Revenge Anthem With Bite
Following the success of “Therapy”—which has racked up over 7 million views on socials and is nearing a million streams—“For The Plot” sees the Nottingham quartet doubling down on their anthemic emo-punk sound. A high-energy blend of melodic riffs, thunderous percussion, and a crushing breakdown, the track oozes vengeance and catharsis.
Frontwoman Bethany Hunter shares the chaotic inspiration behind the song:
“I’m sure everyone has a chaotic best friend, but mine wins as the most chaotic. She found out her boyfriend had cheated, so for the plot, she slept with his best mate and blocked her ex on everything. He then proceeded to email her over 100 times, and she yelled, ‘Who sends a fucking email!?’ When we got back from tour, I wrote the song for her as an uplifting ‘fuck your ex’ anthem!”

New Album: A 14-Track Firestorm
Everything’s On Fire But I’m Fine is shaping up to be the band’s most ambitious project yet, expanding beyond their early pop-punk roots while maintaining their signature emotional intensity and high-energy hooks.
Bethany Hunter reflects on the milestone:
“Most bands don’t make it to their fourth album—let alone without a label, management, or the usual machinery. The fact that we’re able to release Everything’s On Fire But I’m Fine is a testament to every single Faller out there that made this happen.”
The album, produced by long-time collaborator Alex Copp, alongside Sam Guaiana and Mike Kalajian, is set to feature piano ballads, pop bangers, and heavier cuts inspired by everything from early 2000s emo to the dark neon landscapes of Arcane’s Undercity.
