Takedown Festival 2026 Expands Lineup with President, Zetra, Mouth Culture and More
Takedown Festival continues to cement its place in the UK’s heavy music scene with a thunderous new wave of artist announcements for its 2026 edition. The two-day rock and metal celebration returns to Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April, promising one of its biggest and boldest lineups yet.

Leading the charge are masked agitators PRESIDENT, who will make their first ever festival headline appearance in what’s set to be a landmark moment for the rising collective. Joining them across the weekend are a host of new additions including Mouth Culture, Zetra, Lastelle, South Of Salem, and Asomvel.
A South Coast Showdown of Sound
This year’s Friday night festivities will be headlined by none other than Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, delivering a special set stacked with Motörhead classics and hard rock firepower. Friday will also see appearances from South Of Salem, bringing their horror-fuelled theatrics, and Asomvel, who promise “an apocalyptic orgy of volume beyond human imagining.”
Saturday’s lineup turns up the intensity with the addition of Mouth Culture, Leicester’s genre-bending alt-rock force. Known for their chaotic and emotionally-charged performances, the band declares, “Takedown feels like home – chaotic, loud, and exactly where we belong.”
London’s mysterious duo Zetra bring their gothic shoegaze-metal fusion back to the Guildhall stage. They warn: “Expect the unexpected. Believe the unbelievable. The cycle starts anew. Zetra Loves You.”
Also returning to the festival is Lastelle, stepping up to the main stage after a warm reception in 2025. “We were welcomed with open arms last year, so to be back again but on the main stage is definitely going to be one to remember,” they share.
Full Lineup So Far Includes:
- President (Saturday headliner – debut festival headline set)
- Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons (Friday headliner – special Motörhead set)
- Mouth Culture
- Zetra
- Lastelle
- South Of Salem

A Festival on the Rise
After an eight-year hiatus, Takedown returned in 2023 with a vengeance, moving from its original home at Southampton University to the larger Portsmouth Guildhall. That comeback was crowned with headliners Sleep Token and Skindred, and earned the festival nominations for Best Small Festival, Best Metropolitan Festival, and the Grassroots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards.
Now, Takedown 2026 builds on that momentum, delivering a lineup that continues to honour its underground spirit while reaching for even greater heights.
