Nicko McBrain sets out UK and European spoken word dates alongside memoir release
Nicko McBrain will take Hello Boys & Girls! out on the road later this year, with the Iron Maiden drummer lining up a spoken word tour across the UK and Europe to coincide with the release of his autobiography.
The tour begins in Frankfurt on 26 October and runs through Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Ireland and the UK, with McBrain promising stories from behind the kit, alongside memories of his early years, career highs and harder moments.
A look back from the drum-stool
The show is being billed as part stand-up, part audience Q&A, with McBrain drawing on material from the book and leaning into the sort of candid storytelling that has long made him one of metal’s most recognisable voices. The memoir, Hello Boys & Girls!, is out on 22 October in hardback, ebook and audio via Harper Non Fiction.
McBrain said: “It’s been a real honour to write my very own autobiography and have the chance to walk down memory lane, revisiting all the experiences that have made me who I am and brought me to where I am today. And I’m thrilled and delighted to be taking those stories on the road and share them all with you. I feel truly blessed to be able to say Hello Boys And Girls, to you all in person later this year. We’re going to have a lot of fun together, so come and join me for a great night out. I’ve got a LOT of stories I want to tell you all!”
Tickets are set to go on sale next week, with further information available at nickomcbrain.co.uk.
