Winona Fighter share fan-filmed live video for BOMBS AWAY
Winona Fighter have shared a new fan-filmed live video for their latest single BOMBS AWAY, with footage captured during this year’s Welcome To Rockville festival, where the track received its first live outing on the same day it debuted.

A first live blast at Rockville
The video leans into the chaos and immediacy of the performance, with fans recording the set as the band tore through the song for the first time in public. It gives BOMBS AWAY the kind of rough-edged, in-the-room feel that suits the song’s own surprise-release origins.
The band said: “We were so stoked to be able to debut BOMBS AWAY at Rockville this past May. We couldn’t believe, even though we had surprise released this song, the crowd was singing and moshing along like it had been a long time fan favorite. Giving fans camcorders to film their experience was icing on the cake for us. How fucking cool.”

A follow-up to the debut album
BOMBS AWAY follows Winona Fighter‘s debut album My Apologies To The Chef, which was later expanded with a deluxe edition last autumn. That release added acoustic versions of every song from the original album, plus covers of the Beastie Boys’ Sabotage and Violent Femmes’ Blister In The Sun, alongside the new track (Don’t Get) CLOSE.
The band are currently on the road with the idobi Radio Summer School Tour, sharing dates with Honey Revenge, South Arcade, Games We Play and Chase Petra. The month-long run began on 19 June and wraps on 23 July, with Winona Fighter also set to return to Vans Warped Tour for the Long Beach and Mexico City dates.
