The Hellflowers roar back with defiant single Wild Ones

“I believe women need to remember that we are always in control of our autonomy—forever. This song is a reminder that no one can change us or break us.”

The Hellflowers unveil Wild Ones as the first strike from new album Haunted

The Hellflowers have released Wild Ones, a punchy new single built around autonomy, defiance and a chorus made for a packed room to shout back at the stage.

The Los Angeles punk ’n’ roll outfit’s latest track is the first preview of their third full-length album, Haunted, which is scheduled to arrive in February 2027. It follows the band’s 2024 record Vámonos and the covers collection Teenage Radio.

Driven by melodic hooks and a fast, raw-edged punk charge, Wild Ones takes aim at the expectations imposed on women and refuses to play by them. Its central refrain — “No one can chain us / No one can rearrange us” — gives the track its rallying-cry edge.

A chant for living on your own terms

Vocalist Christina Eskew says the song grew from a determination to reclaim control over identity and personal freedom.

“I believe women need to remember that we are always in control of our autonomy—forever,” Eskew says. “This song is a reminder that no one can change us or break us, and that we can be as wild and fierce as we want to be.”

The track fits the band’s long-running collision of sharp pop melody and full-throttle punk attack, with their DIY approach extending from recording and artwork to videos and promotion. The Hellflowers have previously brought that independent streak to three UK tours, including two appearances at Blackpool’s Rebellion Festival.
