The Courettes head into the city shadows on new single Killer Kiss
The Courettes release their new single Killer Kiss this Friday, arriving on 7-inch vinyl through Damaged Goods Records.
The Danish-Brazilian duo’s latest cut leans into a noirish city-night setting, pairing garage-rock bite with the swooning drama of classic girl-group pop. Killer Kiss finds romance, risk and late-night mischief colliding beneath the streetlights, with Flavia Couri’s guitar work at the centre of its three-minute charge.
Guitarist Flavia Couri says: “We wanted to write a 3 minute song that could breathe out all the thrills and chills of a good night out: passion and dangers, drinks and strangers, lust and city light and…a killer kiss! Play it loud and never mind the cherry red lipstick stain in your record player.”
A fuzzed-out flip side
The single is backed by Life Goes On, a tremolo-soaked B-side built around 12-string guitar, fuzz and heartbreak. The release marks a collaboration between UK label Damaged Goods and US label Wicked Cool.
The Courettes have also shared a video for Killer Kiss, taking the song’s urban-romance storyline further into the shadows. Watch the video here.
The band are currently touring the United States with The Damned. Killer Kiss is set to appear on a new album due in late 2027, with the group teasing a title containing “mother*ker”.
