Free Throw Return with New Single Mike Nolan’s Long Weekend
Featuring Dom Fox of Bad Luck
Philadelphia emo-rockers Free Throw are back with their first new music in more than two years. Their latest single, Mike Nolan’s Long Weekend, features Dom Fox of Bad Luck and is available now on all streaming platforms.
At first glance, the song might sound like a rowdy anthem, but as vocalist Cory Castro explains, the truth runs deeper:

“When I write songs about drinking and the issues that come with it, sometimes people just treat it like a party song. In reality, I’m usually exploring a much darker theme.”

Mike Nolan’s Long Weekend wrestles with the tension between perception and reality, pushing back against surface-level interpretations and diving into the more complicated emotions that lie beneath.
Celebrating Their Past, Stepping Into the Future
The track follows a milestone year for the band, who marked the 10th anniversary of their debut record Those Days Are Gone with a deluxe reissue. That release featured fresh collaborations with voices from across the emo and post-hardcore spectrum — including Hot Mulligan, Microwave, Movements, Pool Kids, and Covet — alongside live recordings. A sold-out anniversary tour cemented the record’s legacy while underlining the enduring loyalty of Free Throw’s fanbase.
Now, with Mike Nolan’s Long Weekend, the band signal their next chapter, returning sharper and more self-aware than ever.
On Tour in the US, UK and Europe
Free Throw are keeping the momentum alive with a packed touring schedule. They’ll play a short US run with labelmates Chase Petra and TRSH, perform at Riot Fest in Chicago, and join The Menzingers at the Stone Pony Summer Stage.
