Eddie 9V shares guitar-heavy Whole Lot Coming For You from Dan Auerbach-produced album
Eddie 9V has released Whole Lot Coming For You, a loose-limbed new blues-rock single from his forthcoming album Down Here, due on 6 November via Easy Eye Sound.
The Atlanta guitarist, singer and songwriter recorded the album with Dan Auerbach at the Black Keys frontman’s Easy Eye Sound Studio in Nashville. It marks Eddie 9V’s first full-length release for Auerbach’s label, with the producer also leading a run of collaborative writing sessions behind the record.

Built on a hard-driving rhythm and a snarling guitar part, Whole Lot Coming For You leans into the freer, jam-led side of Eddie 9V’s sound. The track arrives after previous single Blowin’ Up, which was named an Editors’ Pick by Guitar World and selected as Classic Rock’s Track of the Week.
A late-session blues workout
Discussing the new single, Eddie 9V said: “Whole Lot Coming For You was one of my favourites to cut. It was one of the last tunes we recorded, and it was nice to just rip Freddie King-style blues to just get the juices out. At the end of the day, everybody just likes to turn up their guitars and get a jam going.”
Down Here was shaped in Nashville
Down Here was recorded with a group that also included Marcus King, songwriter Pat McLaughlin and Daniel Tashian. The sessions gave Eddie 9V a different working environment after years of writing and producing independently, while retaining the sweaty club-room energy that has long fed into his playing.
“I hope when people hear this record they feel the soul of it,” he said. “I want them to feel like they’re sitting in the studio with us as we’re making music.”
He added: “Making this record has taught me how to put my guard down and just have fun rather than worrying about things. I think that’s what you can feel on the record, a sense of freedom.”
Down Here is released on 6 November through Easy Eye Sound. Pre-order or pre-save the album here.
