Lambrini Girls Announce Debut Album Who Let The Dogs Out with New Single “Big D* Energy”**
Brighton’s punk duo Lambrini Girls—Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Lilly Macieira (bass)—are set to unleash their debut album Who Let The Dogs Out, arriving January 10th, 2025 via City Slang. Along with the album announcement, they’ve dropped a fierce new single titled “Big D*** Energy.”

Speaking on the single, the band breaks down its message:
“Man comes in many forms, from world leaders to tech CEOs and humble softboys. But what unites them? Society has celebrated their supposed massive figurative and literal dicks… Toxic masculinity,” Lambrini Girls explain. “The definition of ‘Big Dick Energy’ is a confidence that doesn’t need proving. Which begs the question, how big is that dick in reality? If you haven’t figured this out by now, it’s not that big.”
Rage Against the Machine—And Society
Who Let The Dogs Out is the sonic equivalent of a cultural bomb. Produced by Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox and mixed by Seth Manchester (known for work with Mdou Moctar and Battles), the album distills a spectrum of modern frustrations—everything from the toxic masculinity at the heart of “Big D*** Energy” to broader social ills. The duo blends genres with reckless abandon, fusing pop-punk, grunge, post-punk, and even some noise-pop elements into a chaotic but exhilarating ride.
Describing the album, Lambrini Girls jokingly suggest, “You know how Fleetwood Mac almost dedicated Rumours to their cocaine dealer? I think we should dedicate this album to all the booze we bought at Tesco.”
Live Shows and Explosive Energy
Lambrini Girls have already built a formidable reputation through electrifying live performances, having shared stages with heavyweights like IDLES, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and Iggy Pop. Their breakthrough EP You’re Welcome (2023) earned them a Rolling Stone UK Rising Star nomination, and they’ve made festival appearances from Glastonbury to Iceland Airwaves.
Catch them on tour this year as they prep for the release of their debut. Upcoming UK dates include two nights at London’s Alexandra Palace, and a string of shows in spring 2024.
