Joe Bonamassa Shares Six More Tracks from B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100
Joe Bonamassa continues his monumental tribute to the King of the Blues with the release of Volume II of B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100, out now via KTBA Records.
The latest instalment in the 32-track celebration of B.B. King’s centennial brings together another stunning roster of artists, showcasing a wide range of interpretations while remaining rooted in King’s iconic sound. The full album arrives 6th February 2026 and is available for pre-order now.

At the centre of Volume II is “Chains And Things” featuring Gary Clark Jr., a fiery and emotional highlight. “You can tell how much the song means to him,” says co-producer Josh Smith. “The guitar work walks the line between homage and signature Clark style. He brought the weight this song demands.”
Another standout is “Think It Over” with Train’s Pat Monahan and guitarist Chris Buck, which leans into B.B.’s melodic legacy with a modern edge. “This one’s a curveball,” Smith adds, “and Pat killed it.” Monahan, reflecting on the blues roots behind his own rock background, shared, “I didn’t try to be B.B. — I just tried to be me.”
Keb’ Mo’ lends his voice to “I’ll Survive,” a deeply resonant moment anchored by decades of blues history and personal connection. “He’s one of the most important blues artists of the last 30 years,” Smith says. Keb’ first met B.B. back in the early ’70s while on tour with Papa John Creach.
British blues firebrand Joanne Shaw Taylor takes on “Bad Case of Love,” bringing high energy and a sense of fun. “It turned into such a vibe,” says Smith. “The band is killing it.” Taylor, who opened for B.B. as a teenager, calls him one of her earliest and most encouraging influences.
Paul Rodgers channels deep reverence on “Night Life,” inspired by the Blues Is King version. “He placed so much importance on getting this one right,” Smith says. “His voice brings a classic soul to it.”
Closing out the release is “So Excited” featuring Aloe Blacc, a vibrant, high-energy spin that fuses vintage excitement with a modern R&B touch. “This track needed fire,” Smith adds. “Aloe delivered. And Joe lights it up on guitar.”

This second volume follows last month’s first wave, which featured contributions from Michael McDonald, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Bobby Rush, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, George Benson and more.
With new tracks arriving monthly until the full release, Blues Summit 100 is shaping up to be a landmark moment in modern blues history — a living, breathing tribute to B.B. King’s indelible impact.
