Post-punk six-piece Jools have shared a brand new single, Live Deliciously, the latest track taken from their upcoming debut album, Violent Delights, set for release on 6th June via Hassle Records. The single premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show with Dan P Carter, a longtime champion of the band.

Drawing from personal conflict and cathartic transformation, Live Deliciously delivers with raw vocal interplay and an emotional punch. Frontwoman Kate Price describes the song as “a bar fight between masculine and feminine sides,” offering a candid, impassioned look into gender identity, personal acceptance, and the shedding of shame. The title nods to Robert Eggers’ film The Witch, a reference that underscores the track’s fierce individuality and dark energy.

“It’s a desire for anyone who has struggled with their gender or sexual identity to be able to live their lives without fear or shame,” explains Price.
Building Toward Violent Delights
Jools – Kate Price, Mitch Gordon, Chris Johnston, Callum Connachie, Joe Dodd, and Chelsea Wrones – have been on a steady rise since forming in early 2023. Their unpredictable, high-energy live shows and sonic fusion of post-punk, rap, metal, and indie have seen them land Tune of the Week not once, but twice on Radio 1.

Their debut album Violent Delights promises to be more than a punk record. It’s an anthology of deeply personal narratives—grief, rage, desire, religion, and identity all collide in a collection that reclaims pain with poetic power. From anthems of empowerment to raw laments on addiction and abuse, it’s a record that confronts tragedy head-on, but with a sense of catharsis and strength.
