Massive Wagons Return for UK May Tour with Earth to Grace Riding High

Lancaster’s favourite hard rock heavyweights, Massive Wagons, are back on the road this May, bringing their signature blend of stadium-ready anthems and punk-hearted grit to four select UK cities. With InMe in support, the band are continuing their Earth To Grace victory lap with Part 2 of their headline tour.

Fresh from tearing up the Monsters of Rock Cruise in the US, the band’s new album Earth To Grace has landed them their biggest chart success yet: a #1 on the UK Rock Album Charts and an impressive #4 in the Official UK Album Charts. Released via Earache Records, the 11-track LP is a testament to the group’s staying power, fierce energy and growing influence.

Doing Good While Doing It Loud

True to their reputation for mixing rock ‘n’ roll with a meaningful message, Massive Wagons continue to push their anti-bullying campaign in schools, funded through Metal For Good and fronted by frontman Barry “Baz” Mills and guitarist Adam Thistlethwaite. The campaign originated from their 2022 track “Fuck The Haters” and aims to combat online abuse through education and awareness.

They’ve also partnered with Andy’s Man Club, a men’s suicide prevention charity, during their 2024 tour. With on-site stalls, interactive installations, and open conversations at each gig, the band actively helped bring mental health awareness to the forefront of their shows.

Science Meets Sound

One of the band’s earlier anthems, “In It Together”, has been donated to Lancaster University’s Psychology Department for infant hearing research. The song is now part of studies exploring fetal hearing development and music perception among cochlear implant users, blending rock with research in a rare crossover.

Earth To Grace: Anthemic, Gritty, and Sincere

Earth To Grace is Massive Wagons in full technicolour. From the slow-burning ballad “Night Skies” to the raw punch of “The Good Die Young” (featuring Colin Doran of Hundred Reasons), the album sees the return of Mills’ lyrical honesty and the twin-axe attack of Thistlethwaite and Stevie Holl. Lyrically, the record draws from diverse and weighty influences—from the death of Sinéad O’Connor to the controversial Sound of Freedom film and the chaos of modern digital life.

Track Highlights:

  • Sleep Forever – thunderous opener with driving bass and drums
  • Cool Like A Fox – cheeky punk attitude meets big riffs
  • Underdog – classic Wagons with a bruised-but-brave heart
  • Rabbit Hole – closing chaos with lyrical bite
