The Young Gods Announce Raw New Album ‘Appear Disappear’ and EU/UK Tour

“Appear Disappear” is a reflection on our involvement in the world’s problems and our ability to take a stand. How do we react, make the right move amid the vast sea of data we process every second?”

Swiss industrial rock legends The Young Gods return this year with their 14th studio album, Appear Disappear, landing 13th June on indie label Two Gentlemen. The record marks a fiery new chapter for the trio as they celebrate 40 years of pushing sonic boundaries. The announcement comes paired with the release of the gripping title track, plus a full EU/UK tour kicking off in October 2025.

“We wanted something raw… more direct,” says frontman Franz Treichler, setting the tone for a record that’s both politically charged and deeply personal.

Sound and Fury

Appear Disappear is The Young Gods stripped back and wound up—an album that bleeds urgency, rooted in the band’s earliest instincts: biting guitars, pounding drums, and electrified sampling. The opening title track howls with defiant energy, setting the stage for a collection that reckons with war, surveillance, and love.

From the industrial grind of Systemized to the psychedelic echoes of Intertidal and the rebellious stomp of Shine that Drone, the album throws punches across genre lines. Blackwater honors digital resistance, inspired by a Chinese activist who tracked police during the Hong Kong protests, while Mes yeux de tous confronts the disorientation of data overload.

Yet amid the chaos, there’s tenderness. Blue Me Away, a raw tribute to Treichler’s late wife Heleen, is a thunderous love song wrapped in distortion and vulnerability.

EU/UK Tour Announced for Autumn 2025

To support the release, The Young Gods will embark on a headline tour across Europe and the UK from October through December 2025, with major stops including:

  • London
  • Leeds
  • Paris
  • Berlin
  • Barcelona
  • Madrid
  • Lisbon
  • Copenhagen
  • Brussels
  • Prague

Full dates and tickets will be available soon via the band’s official channels.
